Natsu hemp is a hemp that is pulled out of the fields around the summer solstice.

Natsu hemp is "spun" (=tied), and thus it is the same sound as "u" in "unakami" and "unahi," and also the same sound as "i" in "life" because "thread" is spun from natsu hemp.
